Becoming a good webmaster takes lots of knowledge and work now days. It is not enough to just throw some html into a file upload it to a server and point people to your url. The standards for web pages is changing and I believe that if a page is not within the web standards and is not valid then it will suffer in the search engine rankings.

XHTML is becoming the markup language of choice for a lot of websites now days and should validate as strict xhtml. Now in order to accomplish this you also need to be familiar with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and JavaScript. It is my intention to put some tutorials, tips, and tricks about building a compliant webpage along with posting some tools that could help you along the way. I will also be talking about templates and how they can help in the overall design of a website.
